Trade Show for Automotive Glass, Smart Repair and Car Detailing from 11 to 12 October 2019 in Düsseldorf
In six weeks tasc 2019 will kick off at Areal Böhler. Additional exhibitors and extended presentation space have laid the foundation for a successful continuation of the event. “Our goal was to grow while keeping the trade show compact. Here, at the Düsseldorf location we map the complete industry but also offer visitors short distances to walk and, hence, give them enough time for essentials: to browse product solutions and services, to network and look beyond one’s own backyard to other potential lines of business. No other event offers all of that in this segment,” notes Birgit Horn, Director of tasc.
The automotive glass industry will also be as strongly represented in 2019 as before, posting a significant increase in the number of exhibitors for equipment and software for driver assistance system calibration (in line with the current investment made by automotive glass companies). New entrants here include such brands as Texa, Autel, Launch Europe and WABCOWÜRTH. With the new exhibitors Guardian and Saint-Gobain Autover for the first time the complete quartet of major automotive glass manufacturers will be featured. Live Demonstrations in the specialist lectures: Answers to Current Challenges
Beyond this, automotive after-sales professionals can look forward to an informative and practice-driven programme of expert lectures. Both trade show days will see talks and live demos on current topics and challenges for the industry.
- A topic that is currently on everyone’s lips is digitalisation: in his lectures Dominic Multerer will discuss with participants how car repair shops should effectively position themselves in a future-proof way even today and what lessons can be learnt from societal change and what insights gained from digitalisation.
- Josua Bücher of PDR.cloud already focuses on digitalisation 100%. In his talk he will share how to capitalise on technological advances in an everyday workshop routine. He will speak about Repair Management 4.0 – Future Technology in Damage Assessment and Repair Handling. His workshop software PDR.cloud provides solutions for a wide variety of automotive sectors. Be it on your PC, smartphone or on Tablets – the App simplifies the capture, management and invoicing of car damage and thereby makes for completely paperless processing.
- How to discover new lines of business for your own repair workshop? That’s the way to go: Thomas Brux will explain in his lecture how automotive companies can succeed in entering the paint protection film market. The masking technology presented permits producing custom-fit blanks which can be attached to the paint without using cutters – making this “add on” an attractive additional source of revenue.
- Be it front cameras in the windshield, lane departure warning systems or emergency stop assistants – the calibration of driver assistance systems is becoming a challenge for automotive companies and claims settlement. A trio of automotive glass experts comprising Florian Wallmann, Martin Klein and Andreas Müller will explain how sensors and cameras in driver assistance systems are professionally adjusted and calibrated.
- Martin Lutz of DEKRA will present the new seal for dent removal technicians and paint and body shops. The DEKRA seal of approval is awarded to companies and products that traceably comply with defined standards for safety, quality and sustainability. The Seal serves as a confirmation and provides information on which criteria have been audited or certified.

New Competitions: Even More Interaction
Join in and try out is the motto of the Car Cross Challenge. This new competition makes a visit to the trade show even more exciting because contestants are in for high-quality prizes. To win them they will have to either answer theoretical questions on the topic or give proof of their craftsmanship and skills at the exhibitors’ stands. The Car Cross Challenge is organised and carried out by the Federal German Automotive Glass Association (BVA). Another highlight will be the 5th German Polishing Championship held for the first time by the Federal German Car Detailing Association (BFA) at the Areal Böhler premises.
