tasc is growing and so are the ranges for automotive glass, smart repair and car detailing. In its segment focussing on calibration of driver assistance systems tasc registers a marked increase in exhibitors welcoming additional companies such as Texa Deutschland, Autel and Launch Europe – a clear indication of the high relevance of this line of business especially for automotive glaziers. However, the car detailing and smart repair segments are also leveraging additional expertise via such companies as Polytop, Wintgens, CarVice Systems, Mainhattan Wheels or Vixen Surface Treatments from the UK. For the first time, DEKRA will also be represented at tasc 2019. This notified inspection body will present its new certificate for hail damage repair (PDR) technicians to visitors. The DEKRA Quality Seal is an independent and neutral symbol confirming that dent removal professionals are capable of delivering perfect results. After being tested the person is authorised to use the DEKRA seal “DEKRA Standard Geprüfter Dellentechniker” (DEKRA standard certified dent removal technician).
tasc Programme with Great Hands-On Focus
The line-up of specialist lectures for tasc 2019 offers a comprehensive overview of the latest products, trends as well as challenges and will be extended to include additional practical demonstrations. Repair works in the individual segments are demonstrated live on site and professionally explained by trade experts.
Alongside practical content such as working on high-voltage vehicles or calibrating driver assistance systems the agenda features other forward-looking topics such as staff recruitment and retention as well as interfacing with manufacturers. Friday evening, for example, will see Dominic Multerer, a young marketing expert and manager who thinks outside the box, provide new, challenging impulses for the digitization of automotive workshops. Furthermore, the general meeting of BFA (the Federal German Car Detailing Association) and the annual conference of BVA (the Federal German Automotive Glass Association) will be held concurrently with tasc at the Areal Böhler exhibition centre.
New Competitions: Car Cross Challenge and Polishing Championship
Car Cross Challenge is not only a new name for the competition held for the first time at the tasc premiere in 2017, it also guarantees an even more exciting and versatile contest since it will now be organised and held by both the Federal German Automotive Glass Association (BVA) and the Federal German Car Detailing Association (BFA). The contestants in the Car Cross Challenge are in for high-quality prizes. To win these they have to give proof of their craft skills and pass practical tests at exhibitors’ stands. This will give all participants, be they exhibitors or visitors, additional opportunities to get in touch and deepen their expert conversations.
Information on participation for exhibitors is available from the Bundesverband Autoglaser e. V. (the Federal German Automotive Glass Association): email@example.com or the Bundesverband Fahrzeugaufbereitung e. V. (the Federal German Car Detailing Association): firstname.lastname@example.org
Another highlight will be the 5th German Polishing Championship held for the first time by the Federal German Car Detailing Association (BFA) at the Areal Böhler premises. Here an expert jury will judge how professionally specific car components were polished in a set period of time. In addition to the time limit judgment criteria include the gloss grade as well as precision and buffing the car hologram-free. For information on participation contact BFA direct: email@example.com
