tasc 2021, the Trade Show for Automotive Glass, Smart Repair and Care Detailing, will not be held as scheduled from 19 to 20 February 2021 in Düsseldorf (Areal Böhler) due to the rise in Covid-19 infections. Messe Düsseldorf will provide information on the precise follow-up dates for the event after consulting with exhibitors and trade fair partners next year.
Explaining the move, Erhard Wienkamp, Managing Director at Messe Düsseldorf, said: “Our motivation was to drive planning for holding the event and to create a place for business contacts and personal encounters for our customers even in challenging times. The decision taken by the federal and state governments on 25 November to extend the measures for managing the pandemic and, hence, to also continue the ban on holding trade fairs, has led us to re-assess the situation. Because a noticeable improvement of the situation cannot be expected before mid-February 2021. Exhibitors and visitors, however, need clarity and planning certainty now.”
Birgit Horn, Project Director of tasc, adds: “We regret this decision very much, as we have received a very positive response from the industry, particularly in recent months, for holding the event. All the more reason for us to look forward to continuing the tasc at a new date.”
tasc celebrated its premiere in 2017, has since then firmly established itself as a platform for the automotive after sales industry and is supported by the German associations BFA (Bundesverband Fahrzeugaufbereitung e.V.), BIV (`Bundesinnungsverband des Glashandwerks´ e.V.), BVA (`Bundesverband Autoglaser´ e.V.) and BVAT (`Bundesverband Ausbeultechnik und Hagelinstandsetzung´ e.V.).
